Add a sweetener: I find that this beverage tastes better and is more healthy without any sweetener. But if you have a sweet tooth, add natural ones like honey or sometimes maple syrup to keep the flavor profile fresh.
Use red chili instead of black pepper: There are other ways to spice up this tea. Add chilies like cayenne pepper or other dried red chilies for more heat in the drink.
How To Store
In the fridge: I use a glass jar to store the tea. In the refrigerator, it can be stored for 2-3 days before the flavors start to degrade.
In the freezer: Freeze the tea in ice trays or silicon molds, then transfer them to an air-tight container and it can last for up to 1 month.
Meal prep: For convenience’s sake, I make this tea in bulk and then freeze it in silicon molds.
Reheating: Take out the desired amount of cubes, and simply give them a boil in a pan.
