Want to plan a weekend getaway to Jamta on a budget?

Jamta is a staggering mountain retreat standing in the state of Himachal Pradesh in India. I don’t know about you guys but this place serves as the ideal rejuvenating center for me during my hectic days.

Jamta is categorized in the hidden gems in Himachal meaning you won’t see fully booked resorts and a market full of tourists, therefore, peaceful morning meals and no queueing in the markets and most importantly immersing yourself with the spectacular views of the hills from your hotel without much gabfest (perfect for introverts like me).

Nevertheless, being less crowdy does not mean you won’t enjoy this spectacular hill station.

Tip: Try to bring your friends and/or family with you here to alleviate your experience.

What to Expect

Jamta does not have many tourist attractions nor does it have any type of dedicated marketplace like mall road in Mussoorie. This station generally acts as a quick stop for people traveling to neighboring hill stations.

The right mindset when coming to this city is that you came here to relax, relax and just relax with your family and friends.

The definitive charm of this place is its calmness, low-paced society, and being embraced by the Himalayan ranges. That’s not to say that there aren’t any things to do in Jamta to keep you from ever leaving your hotel premise.

These are just some of the places I’ve visited, so please don’t bash me for not listing all the places and things to do in Jamta.

Best Time to Visit For Weekend Getaway to Jamta

Look, I am very fond of winters especially when snow falls (till the time I get a runny nose and sore throat). So going to a hill station in winter is a must and for me, the best time to visit any hill is in the winter. The temperature varies between 5 degree Celsius to 20 degree Celsius and there is also the possibility of snowfall.

Or if you are not a big fan of the cold, the summertime offers a pleasant atmosphere throughout the day. The temperature varies between 23 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius.

Overall

I recently went to a kitty party in Sirmour Retreat and it was sublime. The scenic view from the patio of the hotel, looking down on the city of Nahan with pleasant wind touching my face was an amazing experience. Just visit Jamta for a weekend with your homies, eat, drink, party, and have fun.
