Sour Cream Pasta Sauce (Ready in Just 15 Minutes!)

This sour cream pasta sauce is super simple to make and is a great substitute for white sauce. It gives you a wide array of serving options and is fairly high in body-loving nutrients too. Trust me, this savory sauce will make your meals more exciting!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp Refined flour
  • 400 ml Milk
  • Black pepper powder (a pinch)
  • ½ tsp Oregano
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat butter in a skillet. Add minced garlic, and cook them till they get brown.
  • Add refined flour. Saute' till it binds together.
  • Now pour milk in 3 batches. Continuously whisk them till there are no lumps.
  • Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and oregano. Stir well.
  • Cook and stir regularly till the sauce thickens.
  • Turn off the gas, and whisk in the sour cream.
  • Your pasta sauce with sour cream is ready to serve.

Notes

  • Instead of sour cream, you can use Greek yogurt. It is a great alternative and has a similar taste.
  • To make it more spicy, sprinkle some red chili flakes in the mix.
  • Add cheese to the sauce to enhance the flavor.
 
How to store:
It can be easily stored in the refrigerator for a couple of days, by placing it in an air-tight container.
Don't put it in a freezer as the sauce might split after thawing.
