Notes

  • Make it vegan: If you're on a plant-based diet, it is fairly simple to convert this recipe into vegan. You just have to swap dairy supplements like milk with coconut milk, and mozzarella and butter with their vegan alternatives.
  • Add-ons: To make this recipe for alfredo spaghetti even more hearty and wholesome, try adding in fresh veggies like green beans, broccoli florets, and even bell peppers. For a high-protein meal, mix some shredded grilled chicken, or fish in the sauce.
  • Try different pasta: Don't stick to only one type of pasta, switch it up with fettuccine or linguine for different textures and flavors. To make things even more interesting, go for unconventional types such as macaroni or farfalle. Penne pasta is also a good option.

How to store:
In the fridge: Throw the leftover pasta in an air-tight container and it can be stored for up to 3-5 days in the refrigerator.
In the freezer: If you like to store the pasta for a longer period of time, freeze it, and it will stay fresh for a couple of months.
Reheating: Thaw it overnight in the fridge, and heat it in a skillet on medium heat. Add water if the pasta has become too thick.
