Cuisine American
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1½ tsp Powdered White Sugar
- 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- ½ Lemon (squeezed)
- ½ tsp Garlic Powder
- ½ tsp Salt
- Black Pepper (a pinch)
- 4 tbsp Water
Take a bowl, and add olive oil, dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, powdered white sugar, salt, ground black pepper, and squeeze in fresh lemon. Also, add water for consistency.
Whisk the ingredients thoroughly till everything blends together properly, and you get the desired consistency.
Transfer the dressing to an air-tight container and store it in the fridge.
- Add chopped garlic: If you don't have garlic powder at your disposal, don't worry. Mince a garlic clove and add it to the mix.
- Add more honey instead of white sugar: If you want to make this dressing with no added sugar, simply drizzle in more honey. However, keep in mind the quantity poured.
- Herb it up!: In order to make things more interesting, try adding herbs. You can add dried oregano, dried basil, rosemary, or a mix of herbs to freshen up the flavor profile of the vinaigrette.
How to store:
You can store away the leftover vinaigrette dressing in the fridge for 10-15 days in an air-tight container.
Don't freeze it as it may alter the texture and somewhat the flavor.
