Ingredients

  • 2 medium Honeycrisp Apple chopped or sliced
  • 2 medium Pear chopped or sliced
  • 750 ml Apple Cider
  • 750 ml Sparkling Water
  • ½ Lemon squeezed

Instructions

  • Cut apples and pears into slices. I prefer to cut the fruits in slices, but you can also chop the fruits into 1-inch chunks.
  • Dump the fruits into a pitcher. Add apple cider, lemon juice, and sparkling water and mix them well using a spoon.
  • Keep the pitcher in the refrigerator overnight or at least for an hour, and serve your apple cider sangria cold.

Notes

  • Spice it up: If you think, this mocktail needs some warmth in it, cinnamon is a great way to do so. Not only will it make your drink more comforting, but will also imbue a sweet earthy flavor profile that goes incredibly well with other fruits.
  • Add more fruits: If you're a sucker for fruits, then this sangria will become your new favorite. Don't limit yourself to just apples and pears, add seasonal fruits like pomegranate seeds, orange slices, lemon, cranberries, etc.
  • Sweeten the deal: I believe this refreshment can do with the natural sweetness of fruits and doesn't need any added sweetness, but feel free to add some to match it to your taste preferences. Select natural sweeteners like honey or maple syrup to keep the added sugars and calories as low as possible.

How to store:
In the fridge: This fall sangria with apple cider can be stored in the fridge for a couple of days in a glass container or a pitcher. After that, the fruits start to dissolve and ruin the texture and flavor of the drink.
In the freezer: Don't freeze the sangria as it will lose all its flavor upon thawing.
