Instructions

  • Wash and slice the potatoes (peeling is optional) evenly into about ¼-inch thick rounds. This ensures they cook uniformly and get that perfect crisp.
  • Place the potato slices in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle on your seasonings—salt, pepper, oregano, red chili flakes, and garlic powder. Toss everything together to make sure each slice is coated evenly. Adjust the seasonings based on your taste!
  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for about 3-5 minutes to get that crispy texture right away when the potatoes go in.
  • Arrange the potato slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Make sure not to overcrowd them; this helps them cook evenly. Air fry at 380°F for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through until you get golden, crispy edges and tender centers.
  • Once they’re crispy and golden, remove your air-fried potato slices from the basket and let them cool slightly. Serve them with your favorite dips to make them extra special.

Notes

  • Make Them Crispy: For extra crispy sliced potatoes, don’t skip the oil, and make sure the slices are arranged in a single layer in the air fryer with some space between them.
  • Sweet Potato Version: For sweet potato slices in the air fryer, use the same method but adjust the cooking time to around 18-20 minutes since sweet potatoes cook a bit faster.
  • Herb it up: Try adding some fresh herbs in the mix like coriander, parsley, or basil, or a mix of them. This will enhance the flavor profile and infuse some freshness.

How to store:
In the Fridge: Once your air fryer potato slices have cooled, store them in an airtight container in the fridge. They’ll last for 2-3 days, but they’re best enjoyed fresh.
In the freezer: Please don't freeze them. Their texture, flavor, and everything falters.
Reheating: To reheat, pop them back in the air fryer for 3-5 minutes at 350°F (175°C) to get them crispy again.
Meal Prep: Slice and season the potatoes and simply air fry them whenever you want for the whole week.
